FAQs
What Should i wear?
Once your session is booked I’ll send you a guide on what outfits work well in a photo session. But if you want to do a wardrobe deep dive now, here are a few simple tips:
I always find clients are so much more comfortable if they're wearing clothes they feel confident and comfortable in.
Go for loose, flowy, natural fabrics like linen, cotton, etc that will move with you.
Neutral, earthy tones such as beige, white, cream, mustard, sage, blush, and olive green all work beautifully in locations I generally photograph.
Avoid large prints, patterns, and any large graphics or logos.
Avoid being too matchy, matchy- ideally, your outfits will compliment each other but not blend into each other.
Wearing black is best avoided for aesthetic purposes.
What time are your sessions held?
I like to schedule my outdoor sessions in the late afternoon when the sun is low. Shooting at this time allows me to get that beautiful, soft light which is so flattering - and much less harsh midday sun.
In-home newborn sessions can be held any time during the day depending on the light in your house.
What if it's raining on our photo session day?
If it is just lightly sprinkling we will roll with it. If it's really pouring we will have to postpone.
There is no fee to reschedule your session.
HOw many people can I bring to a family photo session?
Family photo sessions include immediate family members. Trust me, you want to keep them as intimate as possible - that’s where the magic happens!
If you’d like extended family members, there’s an additional fee per person
What if I need to change the date of my session?
Life happens, I get it. I am happy to reschedule once or twice. After that I will have to charge a small admin fee.
